Sophomore Advice
Published: August 9, 2016
This may very well be the easiest year of your entire high school career, but it is definitely not the time to slack off. The next two years are going to be incredibly stressful, so be prepared for that. Start joining clubs if you didn’t last year and join a sport if something looks interesting to you. Don’t wait until junior or senior year. Take the PSAT because I promise you, it will help you know what to study for when preparing to take the ACT.
Don’t stress yourself too much, though. Save the stress for your last two years. The most important thing is to have fun with everything and enjoy everything that comes your way this year. Get your drivers license, drive your friends everywhere and enjoy all of the fun stuff that comes to you during sophomore year. Take a ton of pictures, and I mean a ton. Go to Homecoming and Snowcoming and make the best out of both of them.
Take a look around you and take mental pictures of everything because before you know it, you’re a senior and you can’t go back to do it all over again. Sophomore year is a good year, make the best of it.
