On Aug. 13 students, faculty, and volunteers gathered at the football stadium for the annual Black and Gold Day as a way to raise money for clubs, sports and activities. The softball team sold lemonade, the booster club sold FHN apparel and the soccer team sold apparel and lanyards.

“I like Black and Gold Day because I love seeing everyone come out to support our fall sports teams.” Lexy Lorimier said.
Also performances by Knight Sound, Knightline, and the cheerleaders were an addition to the day. Later in the evening the soccer and football teams had scrimmages as a way to kick off the season.

“The scrimmages were good and lots of fun. I felt like we were prepared well for them.” Varsity soccer player Torrion Robinson said.
