Q&A: Coach Bevill Talks About what Makes a Successful Football Team

Q: How many years have you been coaching?

A: This is my twelfth year coaching.

Q: What made you want to coach?

A: I love the game. It gave me the opportunity to do well in life and the game. I also had a lot of good coaches that had an impact on me which made me want to coach.

Q: Who are some primary leaders on the team this year?

A: The people who were elected captain were Connor Gallagher, Daniel Ostrovsky, and Taron Woods.

Q: Who are some standouts on the team this year?

A: Of course Maurice Massey, then there is Connor, Ronald, and Justin Matthews.

Q: What are you guys planning on improving for this season compared to last season?

A: Coming together as a team. We’ve had some setbacks. Try to get the first win.

Q: What is the most important thing your tell your football team?

A: Be the hardest working team. The hardest working team wins. Play for others and not yourself. Take care business on and off the field.

Q: What does above the line mean?

A: Practice and live with purpose. Put thought into it and think of improvement.

Q: What makes a successful football team?

A: You care more about the team than personal goals and sacrifice for others and be selfless.

Q: What is your goal as a coach this season?

A: To win today.
