Homecoming Court September 23, 2017

Voting for the 2017 homecoming court took place during lunches from Sept. 11 to Sept. 13. StuCo had to redo the first round, because of problems voting online with a Google Form. Once they figured out kids were voting more than once StuCo had to restart the nomination process. The change was that voting now had to go through students’ school emails.
“We’ll do voting electronically again next year because it saves time,” StuCo advisor Shelly Parks said. “We’ll probably have them vote in homeroom and the teacher will only put up their form.”
The senior homecoming court included Caty Arnold, Jamie Sneed, Maddy Wood, Christian Witte, Connor Gallagher and Alex Baker.
“It feels pretty good,” senior homecoming king Connor Gallagher said.
From the freshmen class, Lindsey Zerbonia, Isabel Granjeno, Brenden Yates and Braxton Adams were nominated. From the sophomore class, Lauren Bauer, Amelia Primeau, Brian Cannon and Kaelan Gibson were nominated; from the junior class, Jada Adkinson, Summer Cline, Dillon Lauer and Maurice Massey were nominated.
“It was really weird being nominated, because I didn’t think I was going to get voted for,” junior homecoming court nominee Summer Cline said.
