On Oct. 3, the FHSD community met at FHN to create a plan of action for the upcoming school years. The meeting goals are to map out the future for the district in all aspects of finance and academics.

“It’s important that our internal and external stakeholders have a say in the process of how we are supported by the community for the future of the district, ” Chief of Communications, Matt Deichmann said. “The goal is to get a guide to help the district determine what the priority will be over the next five years.”

The main focus of the meeting was receiving input from the community about improving the learning environment, finance, academics and technology in the district.

“I think it is always important to think about the future of our district,” principle Andy Downs said. “Our goal is to make decisions to better future education. It is great to receive input to plan for the future.”

These meetings are an important part of planning the future for FHSD. The next community meeting will be at FHC on Oct. 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
