On Oct. 27 and 28, Main Street in St. Charles hosted its annual pumpkin glow. It is a free, family-friendly event. The event took place from 5 p.m to 8 p.m. and it featured people dressed as Halloween characters that the kids could retrieve stickers and candy from. Children were also encouraged to dress up in their own costumes as well. The St. Charles Fire Department was there handing out glowsticks and the St. Charles Police Department was there showing off their horses.

“It’s just a really fun event for people to participate in no matter how old you are,” said participant Claire Lange. “You can get the kids out of the house for a little bit but it’s fun for everyone.”

Some stores along Main Street handed out candy and other items to the children. They also had features for parents and adults as well, stores had exclusive deals on many of their items to help promote their businesses.
