  1. “Nightmare Before Christmas”– The ultimate holiday movie some people say. Director Tim Burton tells the story of the iconic pumpkin King of Halloweentown: Jack Skellington, and his journey of self discovery. Jack learns of a holiday called Christmas, and wants to abandon his holiday and try out this new one for the first time. The film is stop-motion animation and is one of the most successful in Burton’s career.
  2. “Halloweentown”– Disney airs this classic every year on their channel for kids. “Halloweentown” is about a young girl and her siblings who learn that they are descendants of witches from a inter dimensional world called Halloweentown. There is magic, ghosts, werewolves, vampires, skeletons, trolls, goblins and lots of pumpkins. Just about about everything a person wants in a charming Halloween movie.
  3. “It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown”– Almost everyone has watched Snoopy being up to no good in an animated Charlie Brown movie in elementary school, and this is one of the many. “It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” brings back the Peanuts gang to celebrate Halloween with Linus hoping to be visited by The Great Pumpkin, and Charlie being invited to a Halloween party for the first time.
  4. “Beetlejuice”– Say his name three times and he shall appear: “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!” From Director Tim Burton, “Beetlejuice” is one of the first feature films he has made. It tells the story of a recently deceased couple. They have to get rid of the living that are invading their home by scaring them with the help from a sleazy, human-exterminating ghost, “Beetlejuice.”
  5. “Hocus Pocus”– With the movie being another Disney classic, “Hocus Pocus” rounds up a star-studded cast with Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as the three iconic witches. When these three Salem witches get resurrected, two siblings and an immortal cat have to stop them from enacting their acts of terror on the world. The film is full of magic, fights and quirky hairstyles that are sure to be memorable.
  6. “Ghostbusters”– One of the most iconic movie franchises in history. “Ghostbusters” is about three scientists who get kicked out of a university where they studied the paranormal. They decide to do some good, and become citywide ghost hunters who trap ghosts haunting the citizens of New York. So, when there is something strange in your neighborhood, who you gonna call?
  7. “Corpse Bride”– Another Tim Burton stop-motion animated movie takes a darker turn. This film tells the spooky tale of a shy groom, named Victor Van Dort, who accidentally awakens and then gets engaged to a dead bride after practicing his wedding vows in front of her grave. They travel to the underworld and back to make Victor realize what he truly wants and who he truly loves.
  8. “Casper”– “Casper” is one of the most popular ghost movies, and is one of the most iconic Halloween characters of all time. This cute film is about a woman who moves into a haunted house that is inhabited by 3 mischievous ghosts and one friendly one who is Casper. With her being frightened by these ghosts, she hires a paranormal expert. They all are in a race to find the hidden treasure that resides in the gloomy house.
  9. “Monster House”– This intense, animated movie is about these three teenagers: DJ, Chowder and Jenny. DJ begins to have his suspicions when the creepy old man across the street destroys toys and bikes from children that end up on his lawn. They believe a monster resides in his house. All three of them team up to try and expose the old man’s secrets and the house’s secrets on the eventful Halloween night.
  10. “Twitches”– This Disney Channel original movie tells the tale of two twin witches. They both were separated at birth by their mother due to an evil entity threatening to take them. When they grow up they run into each other for the very first time, and learn about their true heritage: witches from another dimension called Coventry. Alex and Camryn not only learn to bond with their true people, but they bond with each other; enacting true sisterhood.
