On Feb. 4 the annual Beggin’ Pet Parade was held in Soulard at 12th and Allen. There were many different breeds of dogs that were in the parade. Most pet owners also dressed their animals in costumes as well. Registration for the parade began at 10 a.m. and pet owners could register online in advance or on the day of the parade. The parade was free for spectators but $10 to actually participate in the parade. The registration fee was also a donation to benefit Open Door Animal Sanctuary. It is one of the several events held in Soulard before Mardi Gras. The events lead up to the annual Mardi Gras Bud Light Grand Parade on Saturday Feb. 10. (Photos by Alex Rowe)
