Boys Golf has wedged their way to the midpoint of the season and have begun preparations for their next match on April 23 in the Lake Forest Challenge versus multiple teams. They’ll be entering this match with a new face on the team: Drew Brissette. Brissette is currently in his first year with the squad in his final year at Francis Howell North.
“I wanted to have a great ending for my senior year, so I thought golf was something I could do,” Brissette said.
Brissette has trained and worked throughout the first half of the season, including strengthening his understanding of the game. He’s done this by training at a place named Golf Tech and with a swing coach that’s helped him along the way.
“I’ve been going to place called Golf Tech and I’ve been going to a swing coach and it helped me with it a lot,” Brissette said.
Every player has goals they want to accomplish for the season. For Brissette, he wants to have a consistent score in as many matches as possible.
“I’d like to shoot under 50 points because it’s pretty good there,” Brissette said.
