Students for FHN Starts “Fun Fridays”
Published: September 12, 2018
On Friday, Aug. 31, Students for FHN greeted each student as they walked into school. The club decided to start doing “Fun Fridays” to help bring more community to FHN. These days not only consist of greeting the students, but fun, upbeat music plays as students walk through the doors.
“Whether it’s through the music, hallway games or the greetings,” senior Alicia Roberson said. “It’s something small that can easily make someone’s day.”
Students for FHN is a club that comes up with ideas to make FHN a better place. They not only share ideas with admin, but also voice their opinions to students. The idea of “Fun Friday” is to make people feel welcome.
“I think it’s a great way to make our peers smile in the morning,” sophomore Ella Pardo said. “Even if it’s just dancing. It makes it personal when we know the people.”
Students for FHN found this event to be very successful and they hope to continue every Friday. The club enjoys being able to share and collaborate on ideas, while being able to follow them through to the student community. Students for FHN also wear their “Be Nice” shirts as a friendly reminder to help keep peers in good spirits.
“It shows that no matter the background, no matter the circumstances, that at the end of the day we are all Knights who want nothing more but the best for each other,” said Roberson. “A few laughs and smiles along the way go so far.”
