The FHN cross country team has a meet on Sep. 14 at Sioux Passage. The team has already been to two other meets before this and are progressing very well. The race is a five kilometer course and will feature 32 other high school cross country teams.
According to varsity runner Peyton Hebert, the course is known for having hills and the team has been preparing for the meet with long distance running to build up their endurance.
Hebert is looking forward to getting a lower time compared to his last two meets in which his times were 18:35 and 19:20.
“This week I’m feeling really good. I feel real healthy, my legs are feeling really strong and I feel like I’m going to see a big time drop,” Hebert said.
