The Knights varsity wrestling team competed against the SCW Warriors and Orchard Farms Eagles in a tri duel on Thursday Nov. 29. The duel was moved from Orchard Farm to North last week. The Knights took advantage of the Eagles small varsity team as they cruised to a 51-12 victory. The team gained many points due to the open weight classes of the Eagles. North then had to take on a full SCW team that had a rest between their duels. “We had a few opens so we knew we had to collect some pins to get the win, especially against SCW who’s a good team,” head coach Chris Brown said. The open slots would prove to be their downfall as the Warriors received 18 free points to take a 45-39 win over the Knights. “We looked really good on our feet. We were getting more takedowns than we were giving up. We were catching some back points off the takedowns,” Brown said after the duel.
