I’m not one to judge, but when it comes to the Super Bowl I have a lot to say. I’m not going to lie, I am not the one to ask questions about football, because it is a little confusing to me and I am definitely not a big fan of the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl Sunday is a day for people to get together with their friends, eat snacks, scream at the TV and laugh at the ridiculous, but hilarious, commercials. One of the best parts of the Super Bowl is the halftime show. The halftime show is usually a music concert between one or more musicians. When it comes to the halftime show it can either be good or bad, there is no in between.

This year’s Super Bowl halftime show was one of the worst that I have seen in many years of watching the Super Bowl. When it first started I thought it was going to be good, but as the show went on it just got worse. Let’s just say the 2019 Super Bowl halftime show seemed a little unorganized. In Adam Levine’s performance was reminiscent of Janet Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction in 2004. The worst part about his wardrobe is he chose to take off his clothes. Levine started with the removal of his overcoat, followed by his zip-up sweatshirt and his tank top, leaving him shirtless. This decision was criticized by Twitter users and critics.

In Travis Scott’s performance at the beginning they added part of an episode of Spongebob. When I was little I loved to sit on the couch with my snacks and watch SpongeBob, but seeing it on the super bowl for three complete second made me livid. I love Travis Scott’s music and I love SpongeBob, but I do not like them together.

After Travis Scott performance it was Big Boi’s turn. Big Boi’s performance was so over the top it made me want to puke. Something about rolling up to the stage in a fancy car with a huge fur coat on is just dumb, not to mention it was probably at the least 60 degrees in the arena and for the one minute that he performed was too over the top for my taste. 

Adam Levine’s wardrobe choice, Travis Scott’s performance with SpongeBob, and Big Boi’s choice of performance and wardrobe are the entire reason why other critics and myself feel that 2019’s super bowl halftime show was not one of the greatest.
