On Tuesday, May 7th and Wednesday May 8th the boys tennis team competed in districts against  Fort Zumwalt East and Francis Howell Central. They won 5-0 against FZE and 5-1 against FHC.

“Winning districts was for sure a special moment,” said senior Sachin Milli. “It really showcases the hard work that our team has put in so it’s nice to see everything paying off at districts.”

North won all three double matches against FZE, Will Schellman and Cole sherman clinched the win in singles from winning both of their matches. Against FHC North went 1-1 in doubles and clinched their overall win in singles with Joe West, Ben Ell, Sachin Milli and Kanish Patel all winning their matches.

“It felt really good because the team is representing our  school and we still get to to compete for individuals,” said Patel.

On Friday and Saturday, North will play individual districts at Francis Howell Central. The knights will be sending Will Schellman and Sachin Milli in the singles draw. Cole Sherman and Ben Ell will compete in doubles draw along with Joe West and Kanish Patel. These drawing will decide who goes to sectionals from their district. Sectionals will be played with the finalists from each district for both drawings.

“Being a senior definitely ramps up the pressure going into individuals, because I know this is my last shot at making it to state and it’s what I’ve been working hard the last 4 years for,” said Milli.
