Boys Soccer Team Goes Up Against CBC On Oct. 10

The Francis Howell North Knights JV and varsity soccer teams will be taking on the Christian Brothers College High School (CBC) on Oct. 10 at 4:00 pm. The Knights will be playing at home for this matchup. These two teams will play each other once this year. This game will bring new challenges this year as both the Knights JV and varsity teams have new players that will have to get used to the team.

“I’m looking forward to new opportunities with the freshmen that are playing with JV this year and teaching them new things and playing with my friends,” sophomore and JV player Khalin Shah said.

According to players, last year the team had a great bond. By the end of the year, some of the players said the team had become close to one another. Returning players are looking forward to creating that bond with the new players.

“[The bond]’s good right now, and I think that as the year moves on it will get better,” Shah said. “If it’s anything like last year, by the end of the season the team will be like brothers.”

The team is excited to overcome new and old contests together. One key aspect to overcoming their challenges is the teams bond and how well they play together. The team is looking forward to playing together this season.

“I’m really looking forward to the CBC game, because I feel like every year that’s a challenge,” Shah said. “If we could overcome that this year it would be a good accomplishment.”
