Disney Plus is a new streaming platform that Disney launched on Nov. 12. Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic content is included. Among the available content, there are several shows and films that can only be watched on Disney Plus. One such exclusive show is “The Mandalorian”, a Star Wars show that follows a bounty hunter as he operates around the galaxy.

“It’s very convenient and has a lot of great exclusives,” junior Brandon Bridgeman said.

Disney Plus has been out for less than 2 days, and is already a hit. In the first 24 hours, the app was downloaded 3.2 million times, and viewers watched 1.3 million hours of content. Trending shows and movies include The Simpsons, Moana, and The Mandalorian. Currently, there are only a handful of Disney Plus exclusive shows, but it will not be that way for long. Disney and Marvel Entertainment currently have seven live action marvel shows in development. WandaVision, Loki, Hawkeye, Falcon and Winter Soldier, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk are all going to be available to view on Disney Plus starting with Falcon and Winter Soldier in 2021. Not only that, but a cartoon show called “What If?” is in development. It is an anthology series that will explore alternate situations, such as “What if Black Panther was actually Star Lord?”

“I like the variety of shows and movies, but I don’t like that there is not a continue watching option for shows and movies you are in the middle of.” junior Caleb Kruse said.
