Although finals have been cancelled, FHSD stuck with the original schedule for the week of Jan. 18 – Jan. 22. Next week will be composed of only three school days – Tuesday to Thursday – with two of those being half days. Students have Monday and Friday off: Monday being Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Friday being a work day for teachers.

Tuesday will be a full day like normal, releasing at 2:20 p.m., where students will be expected to attend all their regular classes. Wednesday and Thursday will be half days, releasing at 11:25 a.m., and these days will take a block scheduling approach.

On Wednesday, students will attend their first and second hours, then homeroom, and then third hour for their final class of the day. On Thursday, students will attend their fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh hours. Each class, including homeroom, will last approximately an hour.
