On Mar. 2, varsity girls basketball faced Fort Zumwalt West at home in the first game of the district tournament. Throughout the first half, the Lady Knights were down, but a last second basket put them ahead 16-14 going into halftime. The second half started off with a bang, with FHN going up 25-15. Unfortunately, this lead shrunk during the fourth quarter. With a minute left to play, the Lady Knights were down 40-42. With time running down, junior Hannah Ermeling made a three point basket to put FHN a point ahead of FZW, 43-42. Senior Isabelle Delarue shot four free throws in the last minute to seal the win, 47-45. With this win, the girls improve their record to 18-7 and advance to the championship game.
