Varsity Boys Baseball Against FZS Ends With a Loss
Published: April 8, 2021
On April 6, the varsity baseball team played their first conference game against Fort Zumwalt South. The Knights grabbed an early 3 run lead. FZS responded with 3 of their own runs in the next two innings. In the 4th inning, FHN scored another run to grab the lead. Senior Jackson Mitchell pitched 6 1/3 innings and held FZS to one earned run. Unfortunately, the Knights gave up 13 runs in the last inning and ended up losing 16-4. The next game the Knights play is against Timberland at home on Friday, April 9th at 4:15. (Photos by Shahed Abdallah)

Great pictures!
I really love the 12th picture. I remember that play, where number 27 was running to first on a bunt. The call was safe. Then several minutes later the call was changed to out, this was based on advice from the catcher. But that’s weird… The picture clearly shows the runner was NOT inside the baseline.
This gets me to thinking…
Maybe the umpires can give more accurate calls if they refrain from taking umpire advice from FZS players🤔
