FHN art teacher, Paul Just, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021. He leaves behind his wife of 24 years and fellow FHN teacher Rebecca Just, his three children Taylor, Emily, and Chase, and his mother Vicki. He also leaves behind his in-laws Linda and Dennis Bretz, Steve and Georgeann Strobl, many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Just was born on March 9, 1970, in Bitburg, Germany, and is a 1988 graduate of Fort Zumwalt North High School. He attended Southeast Missouri State University where he pursued a degree in graphic design and met Rebecca. He ultimately switched to Art Education and began his teaching career at Francis Howell North High School. He brought his passion for art to many students during his 22-year career as a teacher.

According to his family, he most enjoyed spending time with his family from weekend getaways on sandy beaches to trips to Costco. He was devoted to his kids, their activities and sports. He loved to watch the Cardinals, was a devoted “Friends” watcher and a trivia extraordinaire. 

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and son and a passionate, wonderful teacher. Many teachers and students attended a celebration of life for Paul at Wapelhorst Park on June 9.
