On Oct. 28, the FHN Boys swim team competed at the GAC finals at the St. Peters Rec Plex. FHN was up against 5 other teams in their conference. After the first 13 events, the Knights were in 3rd place overall, and by the end of the meet, finished 4th overall. Several swimmers are being considered for state in their events, including Elias Avila in the 200 meter individual medley, and the 200 meter free relay team.

The Varsity Boys Swim team had one of their best seasons yet during their 2021 season. All the boys showed up to practice everyday and gave everything they had to the team and it paid off throughout the season.

“Our season record was 10-5,” junior Brady Jarman said. “We improved throughout the year by building up our endurance throughout the whole season.”

Throughout the season the boys put in a lot of time and effort. Since they work so hard trying to be the best they can be, having fun together was an important part of their season.

“GAC’s was my favorite part of the season,” Jarman said. “We got to cheer everyone on and show how much our team improved over the season.”

The boys still have a lot of work to do though because their team made it to state this year. This is the first year going to state as a team so all the boys are very excited.

“Our biggest accomplishment is that we are going to state this year,” Jarman said. “This will be the first time we are going as a team which is very exciting.”
