Senior Shiloh Bennett talks about the experience of applying for college. Bennett is going to Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and says that applying for college hasn’t always been easy, “It was stressful because no one talks about how difficult applying for scholarships, grants, and housing is. It’s not talked about, people only talk about the first application,” Bennett said. Even though it hasn’t been simple, Bennett is excited to go to SIU for college. “Carbondale has a super inviting and welcoming campus where you can be yourself,” Bennett said.
