Varsity Baseball Fall Short In Second Round of Districts [Photo Gallery]

On May 17, Varsity Baseball played their final game against Saint Louis University High, after advancing past the first round of districts with a win against Pattonville. Senior Sean Hampton started the game with a single, but the Knights were unable to score. The Jr. Billikens got a couple of hits during the first inning, and they scored on errors. The game moved slowly, and SLUH kept scoring on errors and hits. By the fifth inning, the score was already 0-6, Jr. Billikens. Relief pitcher Trey Schneider came in for starting pitcher Adam Hanan and was able to hold off runs for the rest of the game. Senior Hunter Shoulta and Junior Trey Schneider each hit a grounder down the third base line, and one run was scored for the Knights. The game ended 1-6, the Knights taking a loss to finish off their season with a record of 15-18. (Photos By: Hannah Button)
