On Saturday, Aug. 19, the new FHN sports staff held a Media Day for North’s football team. The members of FHNGameday took photos and videos of varsity players in a photo shoot-like setting to help make content for the rest of the football season.
“It was really awesome for the sports staff to take time to do something like this,” junior running back Collin Conley said. “As a team we really appreciate the coverage.”
Along with coverage of each player, creativity was given to each of them as well. When taking all of the photos, it was encouraged by the photographers for players to do any pose they chose and with anyone they chose. This allowed for many of the position groups to group together, such as the DB´s, the O-Line and the LB´s.
“I really appreciate that we were able to have the freedom to do whatever we wanted,” junior wide receiver Ethan Gietl said. “I had a lot of fun taking the group photos doing the personality poses.”
Gameday hopes to have started a tradition with all sorts of teams throughout the year, having their own media day. Gameday hopes these events will help them produce more and better sports content throughout the year at North.
“This was something I really hope we can do next year and in the following years,” Conley said.
