On Thursday, Nov. 9, Michelle Li came to speak to the AAA (American Asian Association) and MAC Scholars in the commons about her experiences with racism living as a Korean in the US. Li works as a news anchor and reporter for KSDK. She spoke about the time she went viral on twitter over a racist voicemail and how she started the Very Asian Foundation. Li gave advice to students about how to confront racism and life in general. “I think students will take away a positive image of Asian culture and Michelle’s story in general.” Said Dr. Brian Santos, sponsor of AAA.
