On Feb. 8, the FHSD Board of Education met at their monthly meeting with patrons discussing the ongoing spotlight that has been on the board over the last few months.A moment of silence was held at the beginning for two FHSD students, Jamison and Julian Keiser, who had lost their lives in a house fire earlier in the month. Many candidates for the upcoming election on April 2 came to speak and promote their candidacy. The issue of Black Literature and History classes was still talked about but had less retaliation after the board’s decision to rewrite the curriculum instead of removing the courses as a whole.
