On Thursday May 9th, Maples’ 7th hour Printmaking class works on their Tapestry Unit. They utilized small images from anywhere on the internet to design a large tapestry. They use many materials starting with a large piece of fabric to trace out their design, some used the smartboard and placed their fabric on it to help trace out their ideas. After they do this, students use their own choice of dye to color their fabric and use ink to trace out their designs to help it pop out. This is their final project of the year as they plan to use these tapestries to decorate their own future dorms, rooms, or make it as a gift to a friend.
