On Sept. 6 varsity football faced off against St Charles High School in the first home game at the new Francis Howell North, as well as the first home game in three years for North. The game started off with a North touchdown, but the Pirates struck back with a touchdown, but missing the field goal, with the Knights leading 7-6 throughout the first quarter. The Knights added on one more touchdown before the quarter ended. Throughout the second quarter, the Pirates added on one touchdown, while North added on two touchdowns, with the score being 27-19 Knights. During the fourth quarter the Pirates tied the Knights at 27, then the Knights added on a field goal, but the Pirates had a drive in the final 10 seconds of the game winning the game with a 37 yard touchdown for a 30-34 Pirates Victory.
