Homecoming will take place at Francis Howell North at 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 28 in the FHN commons. This is what current FHN students are wearing this year. Keep in mind that FHN’s dress code does apply to all students attending the dance: no B’s showing. With any more questions, please contact Ms. Pugh, Ms. Pirrone or Mr. Fletcher.
“Girls wore anything from jeans to dancy dancy dresses,” Kent Stover, a math teacher at FHN said.
Last year on Oct. 7, FHN hosted its annual Homecoming dance celebrating the theme of Hollywood. With everything worn from red short dresses to fully blue suits. Shoes were also a topic of controversy for FHN, heels vs tennis shoes.
“I wouldn’t wear heels, everyone always takes them off and throws them to the side,” Morgan Conlon, a sophomore at FHN said.
This year’s homecoming theme will be “A Knight With Gatsby”. While dressing the theme isn’t necessarily required, it can be fun to match. The colors to go along with this theme will be black, gold and white. Just be careful with certain colors, patterns or lengths as they can be inappropriate and against dress code. Remember, teachers have the right to ask you to leave if you are wearing something against the dress code.
“Don’t wear white in any way, you can easily spill stuff on it but at the same time it can be seen through with the lights,” Samantha Slunaker, a junior at FHN said.
