On November 22nd, FHN hosted its very first Senior Movie “Knight,” a special event for the senior class. Held in the FHN commons, the movie night was a unique opportunity for the seniors to come together and enjoy a memorable Friday night together. Senior Class President Colin Smith took the lead in organizing and hosting the event. The night was a much-anticipated event that allowed the senior class to bond and enjoy a well-deserved break from their busy schedules. There were flyers through the hallways of the school used to promote this event.
“I advocate for the needs and wants of seniors, while also planning events and activities to make up for some of the wants of the classmen that fall through the cracks.” Colin smith senior class president said
The idea for the movie night originated from a campaign promise made by Smith and his vice president, Kennedy Jones. As part of their campaign, they promised the senior class a memorable event to celebrate the semester coming to a close. With some compilation and multiple plan reconstruction they worked with what they were given to make a fun night for all who were present. The result was a movie night turned out to be a fun and unforgettable experience for the senior class.
“We wanted to create something fun and unique for the seniors,” Smith said.
At the movie night the movie High School Musical was streamed in the commons. The movie was decided through popular votes. They also had popcorn and a snack table that was available all night long.
“While turnout was smaller than expected, those who came enjoyed themselves, and we’re proud of creating a space for seniors to come together,” Smith said. “It also gave us valuable insights for planning bigger and more exciting events in the future.”
