What are you most looking forward to about this season?
For boys tennis, I’m most looking forward to having some really strong returning players that are leaders on the court as well as off the court.And, just, we should have a very successful season.
How is the team looking at the beginning of the season?
Looking really good. Like, really strong
What will need to happen for north to have a good season?
We seem to have. Health is an important thing. Just keeping all the players healthy throughout the season. But also just keeping a focus on the long term goals of the season, which would be to get some players to go to state and, compete in the district tournament for a district championship.
How do you think this season will go?
I think it’ll go really well. I think we’re going to have, lots of success on the court.
What is your main goal for the team this season?
Main goal is to, grow the team numerically. But also, to, help them grow in their confidence on the court and their in their, leadership abilities.
How do you feel about the seniors this season?
I feel well, this is my first year coaching, so I’m just getting to learn, the seniors names and, more about them. But the ones I have met, I’m very impressed with.
Are you looking forward to play central this season?
Playing central? Yeah. They’re they’re down and we’re up.
How do you think this game will go?
Yeah I think we should come out on top. But it’s going to, you know, obviously, the players need to be focused and locked in the day of the match and, not taking anything for granted. You know how this game works.
What will need to happen for north to come out on top?
I believe we won last year. I wasn’t here for that.

Last season I believe we came out on top
What are you guys going to do to prepare for this game what we need to do to have success?
Making sure that we’re hitting our spots and, staying engaged in every point.
What kind of team was central last year?
We’ve already started. We, started having practices on February the 5th. And we’ve been we will practice every Tuesday and Thursday throughout February. And then our first official practice is March. The first Monday in March.
When does your training start to prepare for this whole season?
Do you have a big impact on the way games turnout as a coach? Not during the match. I feel like coaching in tennis is more of, offering a few tidbits here and there, but, I obviously it’s not like basketball where I get to draw up plays and stuff like that.
What will be the toughest part about your season?
We’ve scheduled some tough matches to test our guys intentionally. We’ve got to match against Ledoux. That in particular will be very tough. But, toughest part also is just the grind.It’s a long season and just keeping guys healthy all season
How do you balance teaching and coaching during the tennis season?
I mean, it is a tough balancing act. A lot of times, my I have to come in after practice and do grading and other things. So I practice may end at five, but I don’t get out of here till 6:00 at night.
What do you see your team struggling with most this season based on last year?
Based on what’s. That’s hard to tell. I don’t know a lot of the guys well enough to answer that one.
