Chemistry Class Conducts a Flame Test [Photo Gallery]

On April 1, Shawn Farrar’s Honors Chemistry students conducted a flame test lab. Students worked in small groups to analyze how different chemical elements would affect the properties of flames; one way students analyzed the flames was with the use of cobalt glass acting as a light filter. Students were also tasked with identifying an unknown chemical solely based on its flames’ properties. (Photos by: Ayah Ramadan)
