The Boys Varsity Baseball Team matched up against Orchard Farms on Friday, April 11. This game took place at Francis Howell North’s home field. Going into the game, the Knights had a record of 7-4 and the Eagles with a 4-4. The game started with both teams remaining tied at zero until the top of the second inning when the Eagles scored a run, putting them in the lead over the Knights. In the top of the third inning, junior shortstop Caden Ziha helped junior Carter Singler make a double play closing out the top of the inning. In the bottom of the fourth inning, junior Avee Patel hit a line drive to center field, sending junior Tyler Sutterer home, which scored the first run for the Knights. The score will now sit at 1-1. Ziha, the next at bat for the Knights, hit a single and junior Kooper Herrell advances home with the Knights scoring their second run of the game. The Knights now take the lead over the Eagles with the score being 2-1. For the remainder of the game, neither team could add to the score. The game ended at the bottom of the sixth inning with a final score of 2-1. The Knights will now have an updated record of 8-4 and the next game the Knights will play is on Monday, April 14 against the Pattonville Pirates. (Photos By: Taylor Griffin)
