On May 9, the JV Boys Baseball played against the St. Charles High School Pirates on North’s Home Field. The Knights didn’t score any runs in the first inning, leaving the scoreboard at 0-0. In the second inning, North scored three runs taking a 3-0 lead. In the third inning, the Knights gained another three runs, with a score of 6-0. The Knights won the game in the fifth inning, scoring another 4 runs, with a score of 12-2 and applying the Mercy Law against the Pirates. Sophomore pitcher Wesley Mueller felt that the team as a whole played pretty well, and that he individually did well when going out to pitch, but needs improvement for future games. “We did pretty good, we batted pretty good… not my best performance when pitching, but could be better,” said Mueller “[Improve] maybe just my accuracy on my pitches.” (Photos By: Mady Brewer, Monica Zacarias, and Kylie Ramirez)
