Today, North held their annual Homecoming pep assembly in the large gym after second hour. The gym was decorated in purple to highlight the seniors for being the class with the most spirit week participation.
“It was cool,” senior Dylan Groves said. “We’ve been waiting.”
Typically, each class has a designated section of bleachers. This year, however, the sophomores had a different situation. Sophomores were divided between three sections of bleachers.
“It was better [than last year’s] except that our class was separated between two different [areas],” sophomore Aaron Schack said. “The top bleachers wouldn’t go out so we had to move.”
The distribution of the sophomores allowed for increased rivalry between classes. Instead of the layout that placed freshmen and sophomores on a completely different level than juniors and seniors, some of the sophomores were right next to both sides of the upperclassmen.
“I like the fun competition between classes,” senior Jack Rudden said. “None of it [is boring], it’s all fun. [It’s exciting] because we’re seniors.”
