On Dec. 4, the FHN Winterguard held their weekly practice in the small gym. The practice started off with team stretching, followed by each performer participating in team bonding questions together. The Performers began the start of practice with a music refresh as they worked in groups together to recap on their last practice. After, they added on to their across the floor stunts, adding on new jumps and a straight leg technique. After practice, Rion Fleming said, “Learning across the floors can take a long time but they are a necessary part of guard. Judges aren’t just looking for people who can throw things in the air, they are looking for dancers as well and getting dance technique down pat is an essential part of the sport.” (Photos by: Kaydance Sneed)
