Some of the greatest movies and TV shows came out in 2025. These included “Stranger Things” season five, “A Minecraft Movie,” “Wicked: For Good” and so many more.
“I like the character development [in ‘Wicked: For Good’] a lot more,” senior Lily Devine said. “And I feel like they kept us on our toes. The play and the book have different endings, and no one knew what the movie’s ending was gonna do. So I really liked that.”
The Golden Globe Awards highlight these amazing movies. Happening on Jan. 11, at 7 p.m., the Golden Globes will give awards in many different topics including lead actors, directors and screen writing.
“A lot of my friends say that Cynthia Erivo’s voice needs to be studied, in a good way, because her voice is awesome,” Devine said. “And I feel like their [Erivo’s and Ariana Grande’s] voices mix very well together.”
Regardless of who wins what awards, there were many amazing films that 2026 productions will have to be ranked against.
“I really liked ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters,’” freshman Isabelle Wordle said. “I didn’t know it’s up for an award, but I hope it wins.”
