On Tuesday Mar. 31, the varsity girls soccer team faced Francis Howell Central. Despite the climate backups on the Knights home field the game went on after a delay. In the first half of the game, neither team scored any points, keeping the board 0-0. After the 10 minute halftime, the teams went onto the field again, but yet again were stopped with 22 minutes left on the scoreboard due to a lightning delay. After this delay, the players went back out to play, where the Knights scored a goal and ended the game with a win of 1-0. Senior Morgan Smith thought the game went pretty well, yet she does think there’s a couple of things the team needs to work on for the upcoming games. “I think just scoring early on, and I think coming out with a little more intensity.” Morgan Smith said, “I think sometimes before games we lack coming out with energy. So working on that would help us.” said Smith. (Photos by Monica Zacarias)
