On Wednesday, April 1, varsity boys baseball faced off against Parkway South at Francis Howell Central’s home field. Logan Vollmer #17, got things started early, putting his team up 1-0 in the fourth inning. Followed by Landon Stirrett #2 to make the score 2-0. In the fifth inning, Caden Ziha #4, and Carter Singler #11 each added a run to make the score 4-0. The Patriots answered back with a run, cutting the score 4-1 in the fifth inning. Landon Stirrett #2 came through again in the sixth inning, pushing the lead to 5-1, and Carter Singler #11 scored the last run to end the game 6-1 for the Knights. When asked about the game, Vollmer said, “ I feel like we played great from the start to the finish,” he said, “Our energy was at the highest it’s been all year and that was definitely a win we wanted.” (Photos by: Samantha Shoulta, James Kowalczyk and Lizeth Zacarias)
