On April 3, the boys and girls track and field team went up against seven different schools during the Todd Blizzell Memorial Spartan Relays which took place at Francis Howell Central. The Knights participated in many events, including regular relays, sprint and distance medley relays, hurdles, shot put, discus, javelin, pole vault, and jumping events. Overall, out of the boys’ category, the Knights placed second in both the 4×200 Relay and the 4×400 Relay. Out of the girls’ category, senior Rebecca McGuire placed first in Pole Vault, the Knights placed second in the 4×100 Relay, the 4×200 Relay, the 4×800 Relay, and the SMR 800m, as well as senior Kayla Spoors in Discus, senior Addison Aylward in Javelin, and senior Jillian Hoelting in Triple Jump. Lastly for the girls’, freshman Zoey Mazuranic placed third in Pole Vault. As an overall for the meet in the boys’ category, the Knights placed seventh with 40.47 points, and out of the girls’ category, the Knights placed fourth with 70.95 points.
