On Tuesday, April 21, the varsity boys baseball team faced Francis Howell High School on the Vikings’ home field. Carter Singler got things started early, putting his team ahead 1-0 in the first inning. The Vikings followed with three runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 3-1 lead and added another run in the third inning making the final score 4-1 Vikings. When asked about the game senior Kooper Herrell said, “I think defensively we played well,” Herrell said. “Offensively, we need to work on hitting first-pitch strikes and focus on driving off-speed pitches to the opposite field.” (Photos By Samantha Shoulta)
