Brawl Stars and Clash Royale are two mobile games that are made by the same company, Supercell and are among some of the most popular games on the app store. These two games usually have a period of about six months each where they are more popular than the other, currently Brawl Stars is the dominant game and many will say that it’s their current favorite, however in a few months, that will be Clash Royale, and in a year, that will be Brawl Stars again.
“I typically play both daily just to max out my win rewards,” junior Payton Counsell said. “My favorite would probably be Brawl Stars just because there’s a lot more variety to the game modes that you can play.”
Although many players do have a game that is preferred, it is sometimes best to stick with the pack and switch in between games every six months so that it doesn’t become boring. With every annual switch, each game becomes unrecognizable with the new updates that were done while players were too busy playing the other game.
“I like that there is so much new content to play every time I switch from one game to another,” sophomore Apoorv Sharan said.
With every annual switch there are all sorts of players, there are some that play competitively and put a lot of time and effort into become as good as they can in each game.
“I have 58,000 trophies in Brawl Stars and about 10,000 in Clash Royale,” Sharan said.
Competitive players are one of many types of players, there are some who play just for fun who even though have been playing for a while are not as good as players that play competitively.
“I have 16,000 in Brawl Stars and 11,000 in Clash Royale,” Counsell said.
These two games are games that have been around for years and will probably stay relevant for so much longer due to the annual switch that helps keep game content fresh and fun.
