Mark Fischbach, famously know as ‘’Markiplier’’ has officially released his first ever movie called ‘’Iron Lung’’ in theaters. ‘’Iron Lung’’ is based off the video game of the same title about a convict forced into exploring an ocean of blood on a moon as punishment for being blamed for the disaster they call “The Quiet Rapture” which wiped out most stars and planets while exploring he find what we assume a skeleton of a creature but later revealed to be alive. Fischbach starred, directed, edited, and produced ‘’Iron Lung’’ and is the first ever movie to be released in theaters without a famously known production team and has reached number one movie in America. 

I was personally impressed with his movie going in blind, knowing nothing about the game but I’ve watched his youtube videos for awhile now and have waited for this since he announced the news. You can tell everything was very well put together and thought about such as camera angles, costume, makeup, and even lighting. Theres a part in the movie where Simon (the character Fischbach plays as) is trying to cross some wires but he can’t see anything so he pushes the button that releases a huge amount of radiation but also produces light repeatedly. While this is happening, the light will go out and Simon gets frustrated each time he presses the button and sends him to darkness and as you watch, you too get frustrated that you too are in the dark.

Towards the end of the movie, we find out that the scientists refuse to pull him out because it would be ‘’dangerous.’’ His main navigator (Ava) begs him to retrieve the black box containing important information and to protect it. He realizes that the box is more important to them than his own life and fights the mysterious monster while he drowns in his submarine. Many people have many theories about the ending and shows their love for the movie and shows their support for Fischbach.
