Educational support counselor Barry Morrison has been chosen as the Support Staffer of the Year. This is Morrison’s 12th year in the district and here at FHN. Morrison’s main job at FHN is to provide additional support for students that need any mental health or crisis intervention and social or emotional support.
“I think FHN is a great school,” Morrison said. “I love the staff. I love the kids. I think there’s a lot of good support. There’s a lot of great teachers in the building. And I think, you know, there’s a lot of very good kids as well. So it makes it a fun place.”
Morrison affects many people’s lives, whether it is in school or on the field, as he is the head coach for junior varsity softball and baseball.
“What I love about Mr. Morrison is that he always knows what to say when people are down, and he’s really a good person and always brightens my day,” senior Amari Jones said.
