FHN boys varsity golf had a relatively successful season. Senior Ayden Larson earned himself a state appearance, however did not place. Overall, the team this season was a year of growth for a young team gaining valuable varsity experience. While not the most competitive year, it served as an important learning opportunity with players stepping into bigger roles and improving over time. A major highlight was the team’s strong chemistry, built through travel tournaments, shared experiences, and inside jokes that brought everyone closer together.
“ Our travel tournaments highlight how our season went since we travel quite a bit and have a lot of good memories from those trips. Also we have all sorts of little inside jokes like the music we play and things we wear that show our chemistry really well,” Junior Wyatt Volkerding said.
That connection became a key strength and sets a solid foundation for the future, as returning players look to build on their experience, improve consistency, and step into leadership roles next season.
