Jimmie Smyth embraces his role as a team-first player, focused on supporting everyone around him and contributing however he can. As he heads into his senior year, Smyth is looking forward to improving his game and making the most of his final season. Over the offseason, he plans to stay sharp by playing plenty of tennis throughout the summer. This year’s team will have a different look after last season’s seniors, including Kai and Max, filled the top six spots. Despite those changes, Smyth sees strong leadership stepping up, especially from Jace Jameson, who motivates teammates to perform at a higher level, and Brady, who stands out for his effort and willingness to give helpful feedback. One storyline Smyth believes is worth watching is the team’s steady improvement over the past four years, as their record continues to get better and reflects the program’s growth.
“I’m excited for senior year and to keep improving, I just want to get better and help push everyone else to be better too,” Smyth said.
