The Knights were the first and only to score in the first period as Brycon Johnson put one in the back of the net 12:14 into the game.  Johnson was also given a two minute minor for roughing in the first. The Knights went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.

The Jaguars struck quick into the second period as Jake Yerkey scored an unassisted equalizer goal 19 seconds into the second half. The Knights answered quickly as senior Tony Mudd scored on a powerplay just two minutes and two seconds later.  The Knights could only keep the lead for a short while until West’s Dillan Timme scored on a powerplay that was assisted by Michael Schrader.  As time ended in regulation the Knights were tied with the Jaguars 2-2.

The Knights started off overtime down a man as Mudd was assessed a two minute penalty for tripping.  Un-phased by the man disadvantage Kateman scored the game winning goal five seconds into the overtime period.

This game capped off a 19-1 season by the Knights.  The Knights have three seniors that won’t be returning next year.
