Three Things to Watch This Weekend in FHN Sports

Varsity Football vs Fort Zumwalt South

On Friday, Sept. 3, the varsity football team will play the FZS Bulldogs. The game will be held at the FHN stadium at 7 p.m. This is the third game of the season for both teams. FHN won its home opener last week against FZE. North won by a score 23-7 behind 17 points from the special teams. FZS routed the FHC Spartans by a score of 41-7 last week. This will be the team’s toughest test so far this season.

On Thursday, Sept. 3, the varsity soccer team will play Troy at home. This should be a much easier test for North than their last game against CBC. Troy lost all of their games in the preseason Parkway Tournament. They also lost their first game against FHC by a score of 8-0. North needs this confidence booster after their rough outing on Tuesday. Come to this game if you want to see a great game of soccer.

Varsity Softball vs Francis Howell Central

Before the soccer game, the varsity softball team is playing at FHC at 4 p.m. This should be an exciting game between two bitter rivals. North has had no problems hitting the ball, as shown their 35-16 run differential. Senior Austine Pauley leads the team and all schools in the area in batting average. Another factor in the Knights’ favor is that FHC is 2-5. Come out on Thursday to see two high scoring, likely wins.
