Freshman Lexi Lohnes and senior Kaylee Lohnes pose for a picture in their FHN softball gear. They are both on the FHN varsity softball team this year as Lexi stars as a pitcher and right fielder and Kaylee stars as a center fielder and right fielder. They also have played in another team out of school called the Missouri Bombers, and have both played softball since a very young age.

Sisters Kaylee and Lexi Lohnes are both playing on the varsity softball team together. They both started playing softball when they were 5-years-old and started playing, because their mom played softball and their dad played baseball growing up.
“I think it’s awesome,” Kaylee said. “We’ve never got to play together so it’s cool that we finally do.”
While Kaylee is a senior and is getting ready to go off to college next year, Lexi is a freshman, that’s part of what makes playing together so special for them.

“We’ll have more time to spend with each other before I go off to college,” Kaylee said.
They are best friends and even like to hangout outside of school, going shopping or even just spending quality time together. Even though they only get one year to play together, the Lohnes sisters look out for each other on and off the field.
“She’s a leader this year and I hope to do that whenever I’m a senior or an upperclassman,” Lexi said.
