After beating the NO. 3 ranked team, Vianney, 18-15 in a 4 hour long game in the Midwest Classic Tournament, the Varsity boys baseball team has high hopes for their April 6th game against CBC High School.
“This should be a pretty good game,” Coach Bob Dunahue said. “There should be some college scouts coming and also a few pro scouts there too.”
With a current record of 8-3 Dunahue is more than confident in his team that they will be prepared to play the No. 4 ranked team, CBC. Dunahue says the few key players that will hopefully give him another win are juniors Braxton Martinez, and Brian Ryberg, and senior Mike Wilson.
“CBC should be a great game,” Wilson said. “They have a great baseball program, but so do we and we expect to win. We play well against good teams and we have a lot to prove, its really a statement game for us.”
